CHARACTER DESIGN  GCD61704/Task 3 LIU CHENG RUI  (0370930) GCD61704/Environment design / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media / Taylor's University    INSTRUCTION Task 3 week9 This week, we started working on task 3, which is the 2D Splash Art for characters. We can create element types or environment types. First of all, I looked for some relevant references and lessons to learn from. Fig9.1 Moodboard/Image References After that, I began to create my sketches of character backdrop. I mainly wanted to create a Splash Art based on dragon elements or summon types from cultivation and martial arts stories. Fig9.2 Sketches of character backdrop 1 The first creative idea is that the dragon, as an ancient spiritual beast, is the highest condensed form of the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The character can make their own aura resonate with the dragon vein through the spirit control or dragon control method, thereby summoning a semi-materialized spiritual dr...

Therefore, when creating the character's expressions, I mostly drew inspiration from expressions in martial arts anime or comics. Besides, I also collected some different martial arts men's hairstyles. At the same time, based on these hairstyles, I created a unique hairstyle that suits my character. ...

CHARACTER DESIGN  GCD61704/Task 1 LIU CHENG RUI  (0370930) GCD61704/Environment design / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media / Taylor's University   INSTRUCTION Task 1 week1 In the first week, Mr. fitri told us about the tasks and requirements of this module and guided us on how to create a basic world for a character. After that, we began to collect moodboards and references to build the world. The world I want to create is similar to a world of cultivation, and the characters I design also conform to the worldview of the cultivation world. The name of this world is "The Spirit-veined Nine Provinces". Fig1.1 "The Spirit-veined Nine Provinces"  moodboards Big backgroun...

Because my building was intended to be designed as a place specifically for internal gatherings and sacrifices within the ethnic group, I made the following sketches. The overall shape of the interior is modeled after that of a tent and is roughly a quadrangular pyramid. Fig7.1  interior sketch week8 Regarding my internal structure, Mr. kannan suggested that I don't need to make it too complicated at this stage. I should simplify it and also try to draw it from different angles. Add some light and shadow. Fig8.1...
