Lectures :

1. Introduction to basic composition.

FOCAL POINT-A key element to any good composition is a strong focal point.
SCALE & HIERARCHY-Scale is often used to help communicate hierarchy by drawing attention toward and away from certain elements.
BALANCE THE ELEMENTS-A good technique for mastering asymmetrical balance is to think of each element as having a ‘weight’ to it. 
WHITE SPACE-helps your design to breathe.

2. Rules of Third.

The Rule of Thirds is the process of dividing an image into thirds, using two horizontal and two vertical lines. This imaginary grid yields nine parts with four intersection points. 

3. Golden Ratio.

Creating and appreciating a sense of beauty through harmony and proportion. When applied to design, the Golden Ratio provides a sense of artistry.
It's a determining dimensions of the layout. You can set your dimensions to 1:1.618 to apply the Golden Ratio

1. Choose and identify your collage's design elements to be cut out and compose it into your own concept & story.
2. Pre compositing your collage's design elements into a composition.

Exercise 2(WEEK 2:PRACTICAL COLLAGE ELEMENTS)

1. PRE-COMPOSITION #1

The contrast between the apparent prosperity of the crown and the hardship of the people at the bottom.


2. PRE-COMPOSITION #2




Contrast between classical art and contemporary pictorial forms.


3. PRE-COMPOSITION #3

The fungi in the picture represent the remnants of ancient times in the present era, and the sword represents the collision between the two.
